First floor. The Balcony Room is located across from the library and is the only bedroom on the first floor. Furnished with Swahili antiques, it is a large and airy bedroom containing a double and single bed. The bathroom features the delicate traditional plasterwork patterns common in Swahili houses.

This room is named for its thatched balcony overlooking the garden. Here a large, comfortable, cushioned barazza is sometimes used as an additional bed.
